Dries van Noten tailoring is renowned for offering sharp, modern silhouettes and beautiful fabrics without compromising on construction and quality. This handsome blazer is the perfect demonstration of his unique approach. Let's examine the details:

First of all, the cut. Slim in all the right places, the jacket is handsome and flattering. The shoulders are narrow and structured for a masculine look and the lapel is narrow with an elegant subtle curve. The body has a tailored cut with a just-right length that is not too long without being cropped, while the sleeves are fitted without being at all constrictive. The jacket looks amazing while feeling surprisingly comfortable, and this is a definite indication that DvN tailoring is serious business. Second, the jacket's perfect cut is enhanced by its beautiful fabric. A pure virgin wool with a brushed finish and a dark grey melange colour, it forms the perfect balance between casual and formal wear, and could easily be worn for both occasions. Besides looking great, it is robust and drapes wonderfully.

In men's tailoring, it is a craftsman's attention to detail that will ultimately distinguish a well-made garment from a substandard one. It is thus satisfying to see that this piece lives up to van Noten's reputation as a master tailor. The front is constructed using full floating horsehair canvassing (a feature used in highest quality tailoring). The lapel's natural fold is engineered by perfectly executed concealed darts on the chest and on the felt undercollar. The sleeve buttonholes are functional, and all buttons are made from genuine buffalo horn with beautiful markings. All buttons are sewn by hand. On the interior, we can see that the lining is almost entirely attached by hand. Its edges are adorned with contrasting white pick-stitching done by hand to an extremely high standard.

Overall, this is an exemplary garment with a handmade construction that is decidedly superior to most 'fashion tailoring' on the market. The jacket looks extremely sharp as part of the suit and it will definitely impress in the workplace, however its beautiful textured fabric and elegant cut also make it easy to integrate in any casual outfit. No matter what your choice may be, it will definitely become on of your favourite jackets this season.
