We have been unable to precisely date this shirt, even though it is likely from 2005 or 2006. It is a showpiece without reference labels, and it is possible that its design was not produced beyond the sampling stage. We have filed it under A/W 2005 for classification purposes, even though its fabric weight suggests a summer collection.
The shirt's design captures Miu Miu's irreverent combination of traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in a garment that carries the weight of Western sartorial traditions while belonging firmly in the present.
