Miu Miu's S/S 2004 collection was another chapter in the label's long-standing affinity with Wild West sartorialism. In our view, few garments capture the label's idiosyncratic design ethos as well as the season's Western shirts. In typical Miu Miu fashion, the shirt's Western heritage has been artfully combined with finishing typically seen on mid-century pyjamas. The fabric is finely woven cotton muslin, a smooth and translucent material with a dispersed floral print. The collar has a refined Western shape, complemented by triangular yokes and chest pockets. Contrasting dark navy piping delineates these details, reinforcing the design's nightwear associations. The sleeves have two-button cuffs and the back is shaped with elongated darts. The hem has slightly higher sides, producing a slightly aggressive silhouette.
