In our view, S/S 2003 was one of Miu Miu's most iconic collections for men, with its effortless combination of contemporary workwear, 1970s tailoring and high-contrast floral decorations. This shirt features the collection's signature hibiscus print on medium-weight polyester poplin. An unconventional choice for shirting, this technical material feels substantial and its matte surface complements the print's high-contrast features.
The shirt is precisely tailored with considerable attention to detail. The front closes with ivory mother-of-pearl buttons, leading up to a chunky and structured cutaway collar. The sleeves have wide square cuffs, while the back is shaped with long darts. The interior is finished with flat fell seams throughout.
