A quintessential example of Miu Miu's sportswear experimentations, this cute blouson is the summer iteration of a design presented on the A/W 1999 runway. Ostensibly simple but meticulously detailed, its design brings about a sense of effortless precision. The piece is crafted from white raw denim with a pronounced twill finish. Navy knit nylon trims with a contrasting white strip around their border add a subtle point of interest. Similar linear accents appeared throughout Miu Miu collections from this period.
The jacket's detailing is abbreviated and pleasantly resolved: The front has a zipper with an unusually small Riri zipper pull, leading up to a short funnel neck. Long darts give definition to the waist-length silhouette, while the sleeves are curved and finished with extra long cuffs. The interior is unlined, and its facing panels are secured entirely with hand stitching.
