CoSTUME NATIONAL goat fur coat from A/W 2000. Made in Italy.
In new condition without tags.
This coat is a rather unusual find from what could be considered CoSTUME NATIONAL's most opulent period. Crafted from substantial goat fur in a natural/ivory colour, it has an abundance of details that set Ennio Capasa's tailoring well apart from his contemporaries.
Instead of buttons, the front fastens with fabric-covered hooks-and-eyes secured by visible diagonal stitching. The collar has a slightly exaggerated Western shape, while a hunting-inspired quilted patch reinforces the left shoulder. The belt is finished with a fur-covered buckle and the sleeve cuffs have rounded tabs. The back has a tall single vent. The interior is fully lined in thick viscose satin and has a single pocket.
Overall, this is a luxurious garment that stays true to CoSTUME NATIONAL's detail-oriented glamour.
