1990s Sartorial Jacket with Point Collar in Coated Nylon
Size IT 50 (slim); men's M.
CoSTUME NATIONAL tailored nylon jacket from the mid 1990s. Made in Italy.
In excellent used condition.
A quintessential CoSTUME NATIONAL garment, this jacket captures Ennio Capasa's hypertailored aesthetic at its core. Crafted from lightweight technical fabric, it is arguably more sportswear than it is tailoring. At the same time, sharp lines and a canvassed construction lend it a sense of formality that is unusual for this type of garment.
The jacket is crafted from fine nylon with a water resistant polyurethane coating. The fabric is light but solid, and its surface has a dull shine. The silhouette is fitted, with high armholes and a shaped waist. Slim lapels and a large point collar define the design. The front fastens with three loosely spaced buttons, while the sleeves have workwear-inspired two-button cuffs and a single pleat. Pockets with large rectangular welts complete the streamlined design. The interior is unlined.
