S/S 2011 marked a transition for Demeulemeester's menswear line. The flowing tailored lines and softly oversized cuts that had become synonymous with the designer were absent, giving their place to a more restrained and streamlined silhouette inspired by fencing uniforms. Strictly monochromatic and tightly edited, the collection adapted many Ann Demeulemeester classics with a more structured and modern undertone. These biker boots are based on Demeulemeester's signature riding boot; while maintaining the original design's exaggerated yet refined silhouette, they are given an aggressive edge through the use of multiple buckles and biker-inspired reinforcing. They were undoubtedly one of the collection's most iconic pieces.

The exterior is realised in exceptional quality calf leather that has been washed for a matte finish with pronounced grains. The leather's soft drape and luscious texture offset the severe design. The toes have Demeulemeester's refined round shape and are decorated with protective panels. Likewise, the heels feature similar reinforcing and are finished with a large buckled strap. The soles have a traditional welt leather construction, while a heavy rubber wedge outsole gives the boots a strong architectural silhouette, while also making them incredibly comfortable to wear. The long shaft has a narrow shape and features a concealed side zipper. Its top is adorned with two buckled straps, while the exterior side has a round patch that subtly echoes cafe racer designs of the 1950s. 

Like all Ann Demeulemeester footwear, the boots are constructed to a very high standard. All hardware has a polished black finish that complements the sharp design. The reinforced panels are backed with thick leather to support the shape while maintaining the overall comfort of the soft leather. Likewise, all stitches are flawlessly executed with thick thread and repeated for enhanced structure. The interior is fully lined in smooth calf leather and a leather flap covers the entire length of the zipper, blocking wind and protecting your socks, trousers, and skin.
