Vexed Generation

Active from 1993 until the early 2000s, Vexed Generation was created by Adam Thorpe and Joe Hunter. Together they sought to redefine 'urban clothing' while demonstrating that the value of garments can reach well beyond their visual impression. Reacting to the increasing infringement of civil liberties in the UK, they created clothes that offered practical and extremely stylish solutions to issues of personal safety, street protest and CCTV surveillance.
