Channeling Miu Miu menswear's affinity for historical garments, this jacket is a subtle but confident exploration of Western sartorialism. Its design integrates utilitarian details from early 19th and mid-century workwear, executed in the proportions of a precisely tailored blazer jacket. Its streamlined aesthetic fits well within S/S 2004's transgressive nonchalance, where it was showcased on two looks. Its shape was developed further after the show, with a longer body and sleeves than the jackets seen on the runway.

The jacket is crafted from heavy cotton chambray. Chambray is a lightweight material typically used for shirts, but here it has a denim-like quality. Its desaturated grey colour is offset by contrasting orange topstitching. True to its workwear heritage, the jacket's construction is devoid of canvassing and shoulder pads. The front has three curved patch pockets and a concealed button closure with angular notch lapels. The sleeves and back are constructed with minimal details. The unlined interior is beautifully finished with a single pocket and contrasting bound seams.
